Hot for Teacher - FTU Tutorial

HOT FOR TEACHER

For this tutorial I am using the following:

The amazing artwork of Keith Garvey which you can purchase at MPT (HERE)
The adorable FTU Scrap Kit "Back to School" by Creative Scraps by Crys which you can download from her blog (HERE)
Mask #359 by Vix which you can download in my supplies (HERE)
My Word Art is in the supplies.
Filters: Xero-Radiance, Mura Meister-Copies

Let's Begin.

Open a new image 700 px. by 700 px. Floodfill white.

Open Frame 1 from the scrap kit and copy then close. Paste as a new layer. Apply drop shadow of choice.

Open Paper 10 and copy then close. Paste as a new layer above your white background layer. Click on your frame layer and using your rectangle selection tool, draw a box around the middle of the frame. Click back on the paper layer and select - invert, delete, select-none.

Open your tube and copy the close up. Paste as a new layer and place as I have. Apply drop shadow of choice. Click on your frame layer and using your magic wand tool, select the inside of the frame. Select-modify-expand by 10. Click back on your tube layer. Select-invert, delete, select-none. Apply the filter Xero-Radiance with the following settings:
Strangeness- 0, Charm- 197, Truth- 128, Beauty- 255

Go back to your tube and copy the full tube. Paste as a new layer above your frame layer. Image-Mirror. Place on the right side of the frame as I have. Apply drop shadow of choice.

Open the Chalkboard 2 Element and copy then close. Paste as a new layer above the frame layer. Resize to 50%. Using your pick tool, rotate a little to the right like I have and place on the left upper corner of the frame as I have. Duplicate this layer and move the duplicated layer under the frame layer. Go back to the top chalkboard layer and apply drop shadow of choice. Using your eraser, carefully erase around the pencil so that it shows through.

Using a handwritten font (I used Bradley Hand ITC), type the words you want on the chalkboard in white in a small size, making sure it will fit on the chalkboard. Use Mura Meister Copies on the following settings:

Using your pick tool, angle the words to the same angle as your chalkboard and place appropriately. Click on the chalkboard layer and using your magic wand, select the black area of the chalkboard. Click on the word layer again. Select-invert, delete, select-none. Use your eraser to erase the words over the pencil.

Open the Pen Element and copy then close. Paste as a new layer. Image-Free Rotate-Left 90 degrees. Resize to 65% and place as I have. Apply drop shadow. Using a plain font, type the words "Sexy Teacher" or whatever you'd like in white and place over the pen.

Open the Paper Clip 2 Element and copy then close. Resize to 25% and place as I have. Apply drop shadow.

Open the Glue Element. You can recolor it as I have or leave it. Copy the element then close it. Paste as a new layer. Resize to 35%. Move to the bottom left corner of the frame as I have. Apply drop shadow.

Open the Word Art from my supplies and copy and paste each one as a new layer, placing as I have or wherever you'd like.

Open Paper 7 and copy then close. Paste as a new layer above the white background layer. Open the Vix Mask 359 and minimize. Go to Layers-New Mask Layer-From Image and choose vix_mask_359 from the drop down list. Apply.  Layers-Merge-Merge Group. Using your pick tool, expand the size of the mask layer until it looks like mine.

Resize now if you'd like it smaller, and crop.

Add your copyright info and your name, delete the white background layer, save as .png and you're done!

Thank you for trying my tutorial. I hope you enjoyed it and come back soon.
